IPL Auction 2018
IPL Auction 2018: The highly anticipated auctions for the 11th season of Indian Premier League will start on Saturday, with all the franchises bidding for the players they wish to bring to their team for the upcoming tournament that will start from April 1, 2018. On January 4, the teams announced the players who will be retained in their squad for the season. A total of 578 players have been finalized by the IPL Governing Council to go under the hammer on auctions which will take place on January 27 and 28 in Bangalore.
So, that brings us to the end of the auctions on the first day. We have had an exciting day and we hope a Super Sunday is in store for all of us.
Ankit Singh Rajpoot is in the line next. Kings XI and KKR start aggressive bidding. The rookie fast bowler crosses the 1-crore mark with KKR’s bid. The bid is on the Kolkata table at 2 crores. KKR is out of the bid at 3 crores and Rajpoot goes to Kings XI Punjab for 3 crores.
Avesh Khan is going next. Royal Challengers Bangalore has the Right to Match card option available for Khan. After Delhi bids for 50 lakhs, Kolkata enters the scene with a 55 lakh bid. KKR goes out at 70 lakh, which is Delhi’s bid, and Khan is sold to Delhi for 70 lakh. RCB doesn’t use its RTM option.
Navdeep Saini up next. Delhi Daredevils and Royal Challengers Bangalore are in it. The Delhi Daredevils quits the bid at 3 crores, which is RCB’s bid and Saini goes to RCB for 3 crores.
Syed Khaleel Ahmed goes under the hammer. The bids escalate quickly between SRH and RCB and from his base price of 20 lakh, he goes for 3 crores to Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Aniket Choudhary is next. He goes to Royal Challengers Bangalore at his base price of 30 lakhs.
Rajneesh Gurbani goes unsold.

The 2018 Indian Premier League Final was a day/night Twenty20 cricket match played between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Chennai Super Kings, on 27 May 2018 at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. It was to determine the winner of the 2018 season of the Indian Premier League, an annual Twenty20 tournament in India
Chennai defeated Hyderabad by 8 wickets to win their third IPL title. Shane Watson of Chennai won the player of the match award for his innings of 117 not out off 57 balls.
